That's the sound of a championship window beginning to close.
So much for three to five years.
Looks like it was one and done.

I'm not ready to think that yet. Granted its been ugly lately but I have enough faith in them to bounce back. They are getting flat out out-hustled out there and bringing out the young ones might be the spark they need.
well, everybody supposed this team will not win 60+ games this year and they start on a 70+ wins pace... a bad streak now dont scare me. different if that happen on march/april of course
I am not ready to push the panic button yet. They are going through a tough time. Players are tired and hurting and the 19 game streak took alot out of them. That explains a lot of the struggles. It isn't as though they are playing well and losing. We know they haven't been playing defense and they haven't been closing out games... 2 things they did very well early on. They will regroup. They will get back to basics. They will go on a tear and everyone will be fine again.
ESPN has a chart that Jeff on CelticsBlog also posted that shows that of the teams that posted the longest winning streaks, 5 of the 6 went on losing streaks right after the winning streak. This team is going to be fine. The streak took a lot out of them. Teams are gunning for the Celtics harder than I have seen in all my years of watching basketball. Every team that beats us, when I am doing the comments post, their fans always say "if only we could play like that every game." The Celtics will get back on track and start winning again. This is just a bump in the road. I have faith in my Celtics. But then again, I have had faith in every Celtics team since the 60's. I guess it is all the green koolaid.
Hey FCF, I'm going to agree and disagree with you.
Disagree some on the "this is just the usual slump of a team that won 19 in a row goes through. This is deeper, worse, and more symptomatic than that, IMO.
Gonna agree with you on your 60s reference, especially your favorite 60s team, which finished 4th.
The race isn't over. I don't like what I see. But we have until the playoffs start to right the ship.
The roster needs to change between now and then though.

Yeah, it's still early.
I'll give you that.
But you start thinking about the first round of the playoffs, and I'm not sure right now who I'd want to face.
Then there is the rest of the playoffs.

Should be interesting to see what Doc and Danny do

Hope you are right, FCF.
