Overhaul

Stephon Marbury.

PJ Brown.

Bob Horry.

Even if none of them come (and we know that a PJ Brown sighting is highly unlikely), the fact that we've had conversations with all three speaks volumes.

Obviously, the Celtics have something more in mind than making room for one addition by simply moving Sam Cassell from the player roster to the coaching staff.

Notwithstanding the bench's 39-point outburst against the lowly Wizards last night (or the equally impressive performance against the equally bad Sacramento Kings), Boston's brass understands what's going on. They get it.

As things now stand, this is not a championship bench. Hell, it's not even much of a playoff bench. It lacks length, experience, and leadership. It lacks a consistent scoring threat. Those aren't inconsequential needs.

Adding three players is not out of the question. The only question is how will Danny get there.

just wondering... our bench isnt soo good, but what teams have a really good bench? Not the Cavs, not the fakers, not Detroit... i mean, maybe they could have a bit better bench (maybe) but a really good one? its a 30 team NBA, less talents on the benchs.

Good question, 1111.

I'd like to do a comparison some day between fakers, C's and Cavs in terms of who gets more out of their bench.
