Finding Ways to Win

Paul Pierce says its not the end of the world.

KG cautions against hitting the panic button.

Danny Ainge says the Celtics are simply losing close games and need to find ways to win them.

I've got two suggestions on this front:

1. Don't give up 60 points in one half to the Spurs.

2. Don't let the Lakers shoot 6-6 in the last four minutes of the game.

Reduced to a single bullet:

Find some ways to get stops, fellas.

Defense always has been and always will be the key to winning. They have lost some of their defensive intensity of late and need to get that back. They are capable of playing much better defense than they have been playing.

Winning streaks tend to make them rest on their laurels.

They've lost defensive intensity twice now, and both times it became noticeable near the end of the win streaks.

Could it be fatigue (mental or physical) from keeping the streaks going? Playing good defense is hard work.

Fatigue, both physical and mental.
