Prior to this week's acquisitions, the Boston Celtics ranked 21st in the league in scoring off the bench (28 points per game) and 29th in the league (tied for last) in assists (less than four per game). Good lord. That's putrid. Last night, the first game with both Mikki Moore and Stephon Marbury in a game together, the second unit posted 31 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.
Much better. But not as good as they'll be in March, April, May, or June.

The Lakers are 12 in points per game off their bench, Cleveland 23rd. The Lakers are 6th in the league in assists per game, Cleveland tied for last with the Celts.
The Lakers bench is also in the top ten in rebounding, we're in the bottom ten.
