The ball is loose, and Walton has the first shot at it. You can see his mind reacts before anyone else involved in the sequence. But his body does not. Before his mind can tell his body to get moving, he gets beat to the ball.
This is the way it is with (Robert) Parish. And the same with (Kevin) McHale. It is painful to watch. These guys are giving it everything they've got, but physically they just can't do it."
