The Second Unit May Have Itself a Quartback

In his whole career he’s been the guy who has had to find out how to make his team win,” guard Ray Allen said. “And now he just has to run the second unit.”

James Posey was great player off the Celtics' bench last year. He was the captain of the reserves. But he wasn't it's quarterback. Neither Cassell nor House filled that role particularly well. Marbury has a chance to give the Celtics' bench something it didn't have last year. If he rises to the occasion, we're gonna see everyone else on the second unit play better and more consistently, too. A more consistently effective Eddie House and Leon Powe would give the Celtics' a very palpable boost.
