Garnett Felt Good after First Practice (maybe too good)

Kevin Garnett felt so good about his first day of practice in almost six months, the big Celtics forward vented his displeasure after being pulled off the floor late in the session by a cautious Doc Rivers.

“It’s fun to get back out there with the guys, go through drills and just compete,” he said. “The precautionaries are, I guess, a good idea. I’m trying to be patient with it all. Uh, I’m feeling well today. I thought that Doc was trying to kill me for a little bit, but the first day of camp, this being my 15th, everything went well.” … As expected, guard Tony Allen did not participate in full-court drills. He is slowly recovering from right ankle surger
