I was all ready to entitle this post "Cccccccccccccccclutch," as in, KG was clutch with his turnaround bank shot over the Diesel. Then the Ticket threw the ball away next time down. I was all ready for Sheed to put the game on ice with his fourth 3 of the game. Didn't happen. Instead, we saw tonight what we've seen ever since he came into the league. The Celtics gave Paul Pierce the ball in crunch time, and, as KG would say, got da hell out the way. The part I didn't understand was the Doc timeout before the second Pierce hoop. Hey Doc, you needed a time-out to diagram a Pierce isolation play? I think everyone in the league is familiar with it by now, not least of which his teammates.
Anyway, I'll have more to say tomorrow.
Right now, this team reminds me of a cobra. Do whatever you want early, but we're gonna keep on applying the pressure, and slowly you will succumb. Remind anyone of the 2008 team?
