How Good are We?

Kg sheed d

A quick perusal of Celtics-related articles in today's Globe and Herald tells us that during the exhibition season, the Celtics' offense has been running a limited number of plays with a limited number player combinations. Why? Presumably because Doc doesn't want to tip his hand. Later today we'll explore who might be on the floor at the end of a close game. We may get the answer to that question on day one of the regular season.

Until then, another question is worth asking, namely, how good are the Boston Celtics? We've got some wild-ass win predictions out there, ranging from 66 to 73. Personally, I'd be satisfied with 59 and a season-sweep of the purple, at least as far as the regular season goes. But if Doc has really been holding back on offense, then he's probably been holding back on defense, too. Indeed, if you asked me how to describe much of what I've seen during NBAx, it's been a Celtics' team playing at three-quarter speed.

Which begs the question:

If we look pretty good already, how will we look once Doc unleashes the full measure of this team's energy come October, November and December?
