I expect Garnett to come back strong. He knows -- they all know it -- that this is the year. They're all getting older and who knows how the economy and the whole lockout business are going to affect the league after this year.

Doc started the 2007-08 season with the following speech:
"You guys have only one shot. I don't want to hear about next year. Next year is a total fallacy. You'll be hurt. You'll be tired. You'll be too old. You've got this year to get it done. That's the sense of urgency you need to have, and it all comes down to defense. We have to commit to defense right here, right now."
Hopefully he's got that one on tape. If so, I say just keep it running, non-stop, at Waltham, all year long.
