The recent changes to Rondo's jumper are pretty obvious to see from a mechanical standpoint. My question is whether his "old" jumper is really just "one" jumper, or whether he's been constantly tinkering with it over the course of the last three years, so that the jumper we see here against Clev is not necessarily the same as we saw earlier that season or anytime last season?
He has changed his mechanics at least a couple times that I know of. Nothing major but small changes. This season he has made the biggest visible change though.
It's an interesting thing to examine. I always think of his old shot as a "fling." His new shot is more of a "push". Neither style is better. Larry (fling) v. MJ (push).
But in the video from this post, the shot from the corner looks a little zeke like.
I'll be curious to see how long he sticks with the current style.
