Ray Allen with the dagger in the heart to finish the game. Did everyone catch his opening three-ball in the 3rd quarter? The net didn't move. On the next three ball he faded left every so slightly, just enough to give him a little more space. The basket must have looked HUGE to #20 last night.

Speaking of 3-balls, do we win last night's game without ray and paul lighting it up from range?

KG isn't clutch. More proof last night that this assertion is pure canard. His 20 footer with a minute to go was key. And what about the 13 alley-oops on the year between him and rondo? Leads the league, even though the 1-2 punch took off most of November!

Sheed may not make all his shots, but does anyone doubt this guys importance to the 2009-10 boston celtics? KP picks up his fourth foul early in the fourth and who do the celtics bring in off the bench? #30. This may not be sheed at the top of his game, but he's certainly not the sheed from last year's clev. series. He's engaged, and even occasionally aggressive.

Dog fight. The Grizz have themselves a good team. Five good players, and Thabeet coming off the bench. And they like to fight until the bitter end. Add a couple more pieces and some seasoning, and they'll start to make some noise out west.

Remind me again how AI was supposed to blend into this team?

Rajon Rondo may just be reserving a place for himself at the table when they start to discuss the best point guard in the NbA.

TA has now submitted three performances, and I'd grade two of them at least a B-. Good enough for me.

Sheldoon with 5 caroms in 12 minutes. Well done.

Wolves beat Utah in Utah????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

25 assists on the road. Very impressive. Combine this with Rajon's home and away performances are getting harder to distinguish, and you see why this is a damn good road team, though we took the night off on D.

Championships are great. But I really watch the Celtics to watch Celtics-style basketball. They didn't play great defense. But the game was a dog fight, and our offense was top notch. Last night was a great example of why I'm a fan.

awesome stuff yet again lex!
Nothing better than coming back from lunch to read the latest!

The three ball was lovley for ray and p² last night!

i dont know the stats (as i can't get 82games, or basketball referance here at work!) but ive got to think that the celtics have to be doing quite well as a team at defending the 3 ball, i wonder where we lie at Opp 3p%?? (i know memphis aren't the best 3 point shooting team, but we seem quite good on the perimeter shooting)

just noticed KG had another block too! good times!

Matty said...

also thinking about it, we really need some solid backup for p²

don't know if doc is likley to bring skywalker back from the redclaws, or even if he could be productive enough for some double digit mintues, but we are going to need something soon!

random side not: only grizzly with a positive +/- ..... jamaal tinsley?

and he was struggling to find a team, i think some teams may have missed out on him.

Lex said...

Thanks, Matty.

Whoa. I just looked. Fakers #1 in 3p D. We're second.

Fakers #1?

Whuuutttt???

We're 12th shooting the 3-ball. Apparently there are two teams shooting above 40%--AS A TEAM!

Lex said...

Wow. The Ls are #1 in defensive FG% too.

Lex said...

Yeah, I was surprised by JT too.

Matty said...

your welcome!

Thats crazy!!
But i don't think our defence has fully come of age yet. (as im sure you will agree!) once it does, im sure we will get those spots back.

Who are the two teams??

(the filter on the web at work is quite strict. nba.com is banned too)

i get my fix when i get home! :)
