Take Portland Plus the Points

Let's see here. Friday night. Home game at the friendly confines of the Gahden. In days of yore, this would have been a guaranteed Celtics blowout. And, indeed, Vegas has the once mighty Celtics favored by 9. Nine? Give me a break. What's that you say? KG will be back in the lineup? That may or may not be true, and he may or may not make a difference. I'm not even sure the Celtics will win, much less win by 9, without or without Old Number Five.

The one hope I do have is that every so often this team seems to play a good game for at least 40 minutes. They blow someone out unexpectedly, playing as if they really had title hopes in the spring. Maybe that will happen tonight. Don't bet on it, though. Take Portland and the points.
