FAB LOVES DEFENSE
SU center Fab Melo blocked six shots in Wednesday's game against USF. Melo, who leads SU in blocks with 80, is second in the Big East to Louisville's Gorgui Dieng, who has 90.
But Melo seems as thrilled with the charges he draws as with the shots he blocks. He drew a big charge on USF's Ron Anderson with SU leading just 50-46. "I like to take a charge," Melo said. "They get a foul and we get the ball. Whatever gets the stop is great."
