Anyone Remember this Quote?

We don’t expect to win by 20 and 40 every night, or maybe we do. Maybe we do have to expect that ... we’re certainly capable of doing it like we just proved in the first two games.

--Pau Gasoft, after beating the Clippers by 38 points a night after the Lakers’ 20-point victory against Portland.

Now I don't want to gloat (or, to quote Gasoft, maybe I do), but the Lakers gave it the good old college try. Jordan Farmar, who had been feuding with Coach Jackzen, played well in the first half, posting 10 points on 4-4 shooting. Unfortunately for the Lakers, he scored only two points the rest of the way. Andrew Bynum? Four points, six rebounds in 27 minutes.

There is no doubt that there is trouble in Lakerland. They simply don't have players who are willing to check their egos at the door and play team ball. But then again, their leader is one of the biggest egomaniacs (not to mention a rapist) in the league.

Yeah, did you see the quote from Odom???

Defense just doesn't get you the attention that offense does, Odom said

Ouch!

Can you imagine a Celtic saying that as justification for not playing D?
