#66

Speaking of the Hip Pocket, I wonder why we haven't heard anything at all about Scot Pollard.
He's got length. He knows the system. He's available. He told us last summer that he had no plans to retire.

He might still be recovering from surgery. Or maybe he's waiting to see what shakes down before March 1. My guess is that Doc, Danny, and #66 have at least had a conversation. He's on Danny's board somewhere. It might not be a likely scenario. But somewhere Danny has his name on a contingency plan.

If coaxing Reggie Miller out of retirement is within the realm of Danny's imagination, bringing back Scot Pollard for a short stint must be, too.

Good point I forgot he was one of the few options still available. With a legit 5 I'd be comfortable with the bigs on the bench especially with Scal now in there to help with the perimeter oriented ones.

He's younger than Zo.

Good point. I hope POB works out so they don't have to do the 1 year big man rental every season.
Just read Wallace might have a collapsed lung from the Bynum flagrant. He tried something similar to stop a Lebron dunk. This is the kind of senseless defense I'm coming to expect from the Lakers. They stand around without helping when people drive to the basket then throw out elbows and poke eyes instead of contesting. Yeah I'm still bitter about that.

I think they go after Perk's shoulder on purpose as well.

Also, remember when Odom tackled Ray Allen.

They are a bunch of punks.

Just one more reason to hate the Lakers more if that is even possible. So much is written about the Celtics being physical. Where is the outrage about the Lakers' thuggery. If Wallace does indeed have a collapsed lung, Bynum should be suspended for the same length of time Wallace is out.

As for Pollard, it would seem as though he is at least a possibility but then again we don't know if maybe he did some alienating while he was with the Celtics. But, he would have to at least be a consideration.

Lex, you are right. I felt they went at Perk's shoulder on purpose as well. They are a dirty team and yet there doesn't seem to be much outrage about it. I hate the Lakers.

I definitely don't think its a coincidence that Perk hurt his shoulder in the Lakers and Cavs games. Cavs too get away with manhandling their opponents but all everyone does is whine about the Celtics. Even Dirk had the nerve to complain about Celtics getting calls after Mavs got 3 times as many free throws.

Dirk is just mad his team stinks with no chance of improving much.

Pollard was in town for the Celtics Now show. Wonder if he is also having a sit down with Danny.
